What is it you do back in your City, Vergilius? I don't think you've ever told me.

I'm a Fixer. Basically someone who can be hired to do a number of jobs. Namely violent ones.

[Fixers aren't out there saving people's cats. At least, not the high up ones.]

Like a mercenary, huh? Or do you work for a bigger organization?

More of the former, but several Fixers are hired by groups for their work. I even work for a company, myself, at this time.

Is it something you train to do? If people are looking to hire a lot of you, it must be a service people are really desiring, even if it's brutal.

Yes, of course. You apply to be a Fixer through an Association. It's a horrific profession, but the better your grade, the better jobs you get, and you can basically get yourself a comfortable life with good money, even a place to live.
